Iowa Eye Center Honored with “Best of the Corridor” Award

We’re honored to once again be named the area’s Best Optometrist/Ophthalmologist in the Corridor by the Corridor Business Journal!

This is our 7th time on the list, and we continue to be humbled by the recognition and support of our patients. Thank you for trusting us with all your eye care needs. Below is the article that was published in the Corridor Business Journal’s special edition.

As a leading provider of comprehensive eye care services, Iowa Eye Center caters to a wide range of vision needs. Their team of experienced ophthalmologists specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of various eye conditions, offering patients a full spectrum of expertise in medical, surgical, and optical care.

“Our commitment is to deliver a complete offering of eye care services, whether it’s prescribing glasses for children, performing iLASIK surgery to improve vision, or helping our older patients regain their sight through cataract surgery,” said Dr. Brian Privett.

“Patients don’t have to visit multiple providers across different practices for their eye care needs. Our goal is to be the sole destination for all your family’s vision health.”

This philosophy of comprehensive care has been the foundation of Iowa Eye Center since its establishment over 30 years ago. A group of area ophthalmologists came together to reimagine how they could better serve their patients. These discussions led to the inception of Iowa Eye Center in 1992. By consolidating practices, the doctors were able to offer services that would have been impossible individually. They invested in advanced diagnostic tools and lasers and constructed a state-of-the-art facility to ensure long-term growth. Most recently, an expansion of their Optical Center allows for most patients’ glasses to be made right in the office for faster turnaround and increased quality control.

Today, Iowa Eye Center remains dedicated to providing a full range of medical, surgical, and optical care. As ophthalmologists, each physician is a board-certified medical doctor with specialized training in more complex eye disorders such as glaucoma, macular degeneration, and diabetic retinopathy.

Additionally, they offer routine eye care for patients of all ages. Each doctor sets aside dedicated time for routine checkups. By scheduling regular exams, potential eye conditions and diseases can be proactively identified and treated, for the best possible outcome.

The patient-centric approach to eye care also includes a convenient online store. Patients can order contact lenses, eye drops, accessories, and more. A patient portal on their website allows patients to request appointments, obtain eyeglass prescriptions, and securely communicate with the office.

“Eyes change naturally as we grow older,” said Dr. Privett. “Your eyes need different types of care at different times throughout your life, so choose an eye doctor who is trained and experienced in vision care at all ages.”

With a team of seven skilled doctors and a full optical center staffed with experienced opticians, Iowa Eye Center proudly serves more patients than any other eye care provider in the region. Their commitment to comprehensive eye care ensures that patients receive the highest standard of service and personalized attention.
